Jerry Cantrell was born in Tacoma, Washington, USA. He was one of the guiding forces behind the Seattle band Alice In Chains. Cantrell's solo releases have confirmed his reputation as one of the most talented songwriters to emerge from the 90s grunge scene.
After selling 11 million albums with Alice In Chains, Cantrell came into his own as a solo artist. He has contributed songs to many movie soundtracks, such as; Spider-Man's "She Was My Girl", The Perfect Storm's "Man In The Box", The Cable Guy's "Leave Me Alone", Clerks, The Last Action Hero, and Singles.
Apart from the well received releases of his solo albums, Jerry can also be found onstage guesting with bands and friends ranging from Stone Temple Pilots to Nickelback and Metallica.
Currently Jerry is planning to tour in the summer, featuring new songs from a forthcoming album to be announced soon.
