Now in his early 80';s, Rodney Dangerfield still attracts audiences, young and old. After many appearances on Saturday Night Live, Dangerfield became a cornerstone of American comedy with the release of Caddyshack in 1980. He followed that smash hit with the popular comedy album, Rappin Rodney, which earned him a Grammy award. His success continued with Easy Money and Back to School, which was the first comedy to gross over 100 million.
Dangerfield discovered many comedians, including Jerry Seinfeld, Jim Carrey, Roseanne Barr, Robert Townsend, Sam Kinison and Tim Allen. Rodney owns a legendary nightclub in Manhattan called Dangerfield's. He has appeared on the Simpsons, In Living Color, Dr. Katz: Professional Therapist, Home Improvement, Suddenly Susan, among others. |
